The Oxford BSAC Clubhouse is located within the grounds of Hinksey Park, just off Abingdon Road in Oxford.

As you approach the city centre, turn left onto Lake Street – opposite the entrance to the Four Pillars Hotel. The Clubhouse occupies part of the former changing rooms for the Hinksey Open Air Swimming Pool, with access from the Lake Street side.

Limited parking is available opposite the Clubhouse. To reach it, follow Lake Street to the end, turn right between the Community Centre and the Health Centre, go through the gates, and then turn right again.

Our Clubhouse is the heart of the branch

It’s open at least once a week – not just for lectures, but also for issuing equipment and, most importantly, socialising with fellow members.

Located in Hinksey Park, our clubhouse occupies part of the former changing rooms for the outdoor swimming pool.

We share the building with the Lake Street Playgroup, though we use separate spaces – our toys are a little more advanced than theirs!

We’re fortunate to have a welcoming and well-equipped space to meet, plan, teach, and relax.


The clubhouse features:

• A well-stocked bar
• A compressor room
• Kit storage
• A classroom with a projector

Club Training and Lectures

Our clubhouse also houses a well-stocked library of books on diving and related topics, built up over many years.

The walls are decorated with memorabilia from past dive trips – everything from newspaper clippings and photos to quirky trophies and useful tools for planning future adventures.

It’s also the hub for organising upcoming dives. Sign-up sheets are posted regularly, and places are offered on a first-come, first-served basis.

Long-standing members often reflect on how valuable it is to have a permanent, well-equipped base for the club. It hasn’t always been this way—there was a time when meetings took place in pubs and gear had to be hauled from house to house.

Having a dedicated clubhouse is just one of the many benefits of being part of our club.
