Lundy Island, snorkeling with seals from the charter boat Obsession I out of Illfracombe.

The boat trip takes about 1 hour each way.

Due to fierce tides and sudden changes in the weather experienced around Lundy each child snorkeling MUST be accompanied by a responsible adult.

The trip will cost £40 per person and a £20 deposit secures your place. There are a limited number of 12 places.

What happens if the charter is cancelled?

A full refund will be provided by the charter company.

When do I need to pay?

To secure your place a £20 deposit needs to be paid as soon as your name is on the list. The other £20 needs to be paid by Friday 16th September. If either the deposit or full balance is not pay at the appropriate time the Snorkel Officer reserves the right to offer that place to somebody else.

What happens if we don’t completely fill the boat?

The cost of the charter is £40pp for 12 snorkelers, if we get any less than 12 but more than 8 the cost will increase to £50pp.

Will we be able to play with seals?

Yes, we are reliably informed that there will be seals to play with!

Are we able to do some sightseeing on Lundy between dives?

Yes, it is possible to get dropped off on Lundy between dives, but non National Trust members will have to pay £5 to be on Lundy Island

Can the boat take more than 12 people?

No, the boat is only coded for 12 people, but if a lot of people show interest we have the chance of chartering another boat for the same day.

What time does the boat leave?

The boat will be leaving on Sunday morning, at approximately 9am.
