Where do you go diving?
Oxford may be 70 or so miles from the sea, but that doesn’t stop us! We go diving all over the country, and abroad. There are dive trips most weekends of the season (April – October) with less trips during the winter, though we do dive all year round.
With our hardboat and mooring in Weymouth we obviously do an amount of diving in Dorset. But we also have a RIB and a dory which we tow to wherever we want to dive. We also use charter boats – usually chartering the entire boat for the club and then selling the spaces to members. We usually have at least one trip a year to Scotland – to some of the finest diving in the world. Our trip reports and gallery should give you an idea of the kind of dive trips you can expect to go on as a member of Oxford Scuba Diving Club.
Where we dive is up to the members – so if there is somewhere you want to dive that we aren’t planning to go we can make it happen (subject to interest – if you want to dive the Thames you might be on your own!).
